Project Object Fall Tour

On the 7th, Project Object (a Frank Zappa cover band with 2 former members of Zappa’s bands) played at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI. I drove the Music Machine, hoping to get a good spot to display it. Parking is sometimes hard to come by in that area and if anyone was to see the car, it would have to be parked on the street. I was so lucky that someone was pulling out of a spot right in front of the place just as I was about to drive past. It became a conversation topic very quickly and I met a lot of people that night. I also drove it out to Chicago for the shows at Martyr’s on the 9th and 10th. Again, it’s the same type of situation at this venue—either you are lucky enough to find a space on the street or you have to park far away where no one will get to enjoy the car. I managed to get a pretty decent parking spot on the second night. All three shows were incredible. There’s just no one else like these guys. I am so glad they are willing to give so much to help Frank’s music live on.
